Kerry Water Safety swim week first came to Brandon in 1986 and has been running weeks ever since. We have an ideally sheltered location within the Pier and slipway where the children can swim distances from the Pier. The younger children also have the safety of the small beach where they can gain confidence and become strong sea swimmers. Swim and safety weeks have. over the years. become a highlight of the calendar year and both local and visiting families look forward to the event every year . Many children have made great lasting friendships during these weeks having started at swim 1 and finished at Rescue 3 or even instructors and beach lifeguards.
